Man dies after being shot in west Phoenix neighborhood

PHOENIX - A man is dead after he was shot early Friday morning in a west Phoenix neighborhood.

According to police, the shooting happened at about 4 a.m. on April 14 near 83rd Avenue and McDowell Road.

When officers got to the scene, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, Cesar Hernandez, 30, was pronounced dead by firefighters.

No further details were released.
