Man dead after shooting at a large gathering in Phoenix, PD says
PHOENIX - Phoenix Police responded to reports of a shooting on Sunday night and found a man on the ground who had been shot at a large gathering.
The shooting happened on Jan. 5 at around 7:45 p.m. near 27th and Campbell avenues, says Phoenix Police Sgt. Phil Krynsky.
"The man was rushed to the hospital by fire where he later died from his injuries. Witnesses told officers the suspect/s left before police arrived. Currently, there are no suspects in custody," Sgt. Krynsky said.
The victim has not been identified.
Police can't confirm what the large gathering was, but said additional information will be released once investigators learn more.
