Man arrested following deadly shooting at Scottsdale park
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A man has been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting at a Scottsdale park.
The Scottsdale Police Department says 58-year-old Gary Rinsem was arrested after 25-year-old Mason Mitchell was shot at El Dorado Park near Scottsdale and McDowell Roads on Wednesday night.
Mitchell was shot once and was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators believe Rinsem shot Mitchell during a physical confrontation at the park.
Rinsem was booked into Scottsdale City Jail on charges of manslaughter and suspicion of aggravated assault, however, he has been released pending further investigation.
The investigation is ongoing by police and the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
