Loop 202 reopens in Mesa after police investigation
MESA, Ariz. - The westbound lanes of Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway have reopened near Loop 101 in Mesa after a law enforcement investigation, according to the Arizona Dept. of Transportation.
The Arizona Dept. of Public Safety has not released any details on what led up to the closure.
Traffic was backed up on the freeway for hours during the closure.
Additionally, a deadly wrong-way crash in the Phoenix-Tempe area has caused Interstate 10 to shut down at US 60 Wednesday morning.
