John Dingell had a Twitter style all his own

In retirement former U.S. Rep. John Dingell's rapier wit had a fitting platform in the social media age.

Dingell lost his battle with cancer Thursday evening, dying at 92 and leaving the nation - and Twitter - a little less joyful, wise, and at times, hilarious.

The "Dean of the House" was an unabashed sports fan who also cracked wise on everything from President Donald Trump to his beloved University of Michigan teams - but also took time to make poignant political rants and observations as well.
