Police shooting in Chandler leaves 1 woman dead: PD
CHANDLER, Ariz. - Police in Chandler say that one woman is dead as a result of a domestic violence incident that turned into a shooting involving a police officer.
The incident happened in the area of Dobson and Germann Roads, and per Chandler Police, no officers were injured.
According to a release, a woman exited an apartment under suspicion with a firearm. Police gave commands to her to drop the weapon and fired on her when she did not comply, the release states.
Medical officials have since pronounced her dead.
Police originally responded to a domestic violence incident at the apartment under suspicion and heard the noises of items being broken. They subsequently set up a perimeter around the apartment.
That is when the woman appeared from the apartment with a weapon.
