PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (FOX 26) - Brian Encinia, the former Texas state trooper indicted for perjury by a grand jury in the Sandra Bland death case, has surrendered to Texas Rangers and will be booked into the Waller County jail. Waller County Sheriff Glenn Smith announced earlier on Thursday that he would allow Encinia to turn himself in by Friday morning. Encinia was indicted on Wednesday in the July 2015 death of Bland and terminated by the Texas Department of Public Safety on the same day. Sheriff Smith says Encinia's bond will be held on $2,500.
