PHOENIX (AP) - Drivers heading to and from California through Interstate 10 should anticipate delays.
The Arizona Department of Transportation is starting a pavement improvement project east of Quartzsite beginning Monday morning.
ADOT says crews will be removing and replacing pavement on lanes going both directions for an 11-mile stretch about 90 miles west of downtown Phoenix.
Crews will be working between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m.
I-10 will be narrowed down to one lane in both directions during that time.
