YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - A go-cart carrying 180 pounds of marijuana crossed into the U.S. from Mexico as part of a thwarted smuggling attempt.
Agents say the go-cart fled back to Mexico after smugglers moved the drugs into a nearby pickup truck.
Agents pursued the suspects, and authorities located the truck near the border, where $90,000 worth of marijuana was found. The two Mexican nationals who were in the truck fled back to Mexico.
Agent Richard Withers says they were able to track the subjects' footprints to prove they went back to Mexico.
