Glendale road floods after water main break

GLENDALE, Ariz. - A water main break caused road closures at a major Glendale intersection overnight.

The incident happened just after midnight on June 28. The eastbound lanes had been shut down between 79th and 75th Avenue along Glendale Avenue for hours, but one lane has since been reopened.

Glendale Water Services says customers living in the area may experience discolored or cloudy water. They say the discoloration only affects the appearance, but does not present any health concerns.

Water had temporarily been shut off, but it is now fully restored.

Eastbound traffic in the area will stay restricted to one lane until Thursday night for street repairs.
