Girl killed in wreck on I-10 in western Arizona
TONOPAH, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say on person was killed and six others when an SUV crashed after going off eastbound Interstate 10 in the western Arizona desert.
The state Department of Public Safety says the person killed was a girl and that four other children and two adults were injured in the Tuesday morning wreck 68 miles (110 kilometers) east of the Arizona-California line. The location is between Quartzsite and Tonopah.
Three medical helicopters transported victims from the site where the SUV was heavily damaged but upright.
No identities were released.
