Flagstaff Police looking for alleged shooting suspect who's believed to still be armed

The Flagstaff Police Department says investigators have arrested a man suspected of shooting someone during an argument on the morning of Sunday, March 13.

The shooting happened on South Yale Street when police say Juan Bernardo Valenzuela-Santa Cruz, 30, was arguing with another person. The victim is going to be OK after being shot, police add.

On March 14, Flagstaff Police arrested the suspect, the department says, adding it was the result of community and law enforcement partnerships. "Several tips were received and investigated by the Flagstaff Police Criminal Investigations Unit in conjunction with the US Marshal’s Service."

He's booked into the Coconino County Detention Facility on suspicion of aggravated assault, as well as aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
