Chandler Firefighters welcomed 19 babies in 2024

The Brief

    • Nineteen firefighters from the Chandler Fire Department became dads last year.
    • The department shared sweet images of the fathers with their babies on Instagram.
    • It hopes to continue expanding the Chandler Fire Department with even more babies this year.

CHANDLER, Ariz. - This is a story that will melt your heart.

Nineteen Chandler Firefighters welcomed new additions to their families last year.

The department posted photos to its Instagram showing the firefighters with their new babies.

"From fighting fires to changing diapers! 19 Chandler Firefighters welcomed babies in 2024. (four not pictured) See the sweet moments in our last Reel," the department said in its Instagram post.

One of the firefighters said in the Reel that the department has about 250 members.

"That's close to 10% of our department having babies," he said.

It hopes to have a new family photo with even more babies by the end of 2025.
