A fire burning in the Tonto National Forest near State Route 87 is fully contained as of June 7 at 3,355 acres.
Tonto National Forest officials say the fire was burning mainly in the Lower Sycamore area. No structures have been threatened by the fire.

June 7
By the afternoon, fire officials said the fire is fully contained at 3,355 acres.
"The Lower Sycamore and Sugar Loaf areas will remain closed until deemed safe," Tonto National Forest said in a tweet.
The fire is now 75% contained. The U.S. Forest Service downgraded the size of the wildfire to 3,335 acres.
The southbound right lane of SR 87 is now back open.
June 6
The Bullet Fire remains at 50% containment. It has burned 4,178 acres.
"Crews will continue to patrol the fire line and monitor. Smoke will continue to be visible," Tonto National Forest officials said.

The fire has burned 4,178 acres and is 50% contained.
"Overnight firing operations were successful," Tonto National Forest officials said. "Fire crews will be on scene all day to clean-up and to keep the fire within the current footprint. Lower Sycamore and Sugar Loaf areas are closed for public and first responder safety. Emergency vehicles will be present on State Route 87 throughout the day please stay alert while traveling in the area."
