The Eiffel Tower in France was illuminated in the colors of the Belgian flag on Tuesday night in a sign of solidarity after a series of terror attacks. The landmark was bathed in the colors black, yellow, and red.
The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, made the announcement on her Twitter account.
Her translated post read: "In solidarity with the people of Brussels, #Paris will illuminate this evening @LaTourEiffel in the colors of the Belgian flag. #NousSommesUnis."
Paris dealt with its own series of attacks in 2015 that left more than 125 people dead. Several of the attackers had links to Belgium.
