Deadly shooting in south Phoenix under investigation
PHOENIX - Police are investigating a shooting in south Phoenix that left a man dead on Thursday night.
The shooting happened near 14th Street and Baseline at around 10 p.m.
When police arrived, they found 18-year-old Jeremiaha Austin with a gunshot wound. He later died at the hospital.
Austin was reportedly walking home with a family member when an unknown suspect shot him and fled.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to contact Phoenix Police or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
