Hit-and-run crash near downtown Phoenix leaves 5 people injured, 1 killed

PHOENIX - Five people are hospitalized after a crash near the intersection of 19th Avenue and Roosevelt Street near downtown Phoenix. 

Police later said it was a hit-and-run crash involving four vehicles that left one person dead. 

When officers arrived at the scene, they found three vehicle and transported three adults and two children to a local hospital.

The deceased individual was one of the three adults who was in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries.

The remaining four are in serious condition, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
