Chick-fil-A Introduces 'Superfood Side'

It's a New Year and Chick-fil-A now has chosen a new side. The Superfood Side will be replacing the long-beloved coleslaw on the menu.

The Superfood Side is described by Chick-fil-A as "hand-chopped kale and Broccolini, tossed in a sweet and tangy maple vinaigrette dressing and topped with flavorful dried sour cherries. It is served with a blend of roasted nuts (walnuts, almonds and pecans) that enhances the flavor and provides added crunch."

The side will be available starting Jan. 18. It will cost $2.59 for the 5 ounce and $3.79 for the 8 ounce size. It can also be added to any combo for a 94-cent upcharge.

Chick-fil-A teamed up with Atlanta-based chef Ford Fry to create the new concoction. It is part of the Atlanta-based restaurant company to diversify their menu.
