Cause of death revealed for missing teacher Cathryn Gorospe
New detail have been released on how a Valley kindergarten teacher died in Yavapai County.
According to documents released by the county, investigators say 44-year-old Cathryn Gorospe was stabbed to death.
Gorospe disappeared on October 6, after investigators said she drove to Flagstaff and posted bond for Charlie Malzahn. Gorospe was reportedly in a relationship with the 27-year-old for about a month, before bonding him out of jail.
It is believed Gorospe was killed in the Williams area, and her body was found a week later on private property in Mayer. Not long after Gorospe was reported missing, Malzahn was arrested in the Valley, after police said he assaulted a 17-year-old female, in her dorm at Arizona State University.
A motive in the murder is still not clear, and investigators are piecing together exactly what led to her death. Flagstaff Police have recommended the Coconino County Attorney's Office charge Malzahn in the murder.
As of yet, however, no charges have been filed.
