Authorities investigate alleged child abduction case

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Authorities say they have spoken with two persons of interest who some witnesses thought tried to abduct a child.

Deputies with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office say they interviewed two men who came forward and have determined there was no criminal intent.

The misunderstanding happened last week near Litchfield Park when a child flagged down another driver.

Investigators are thanking the public for the tips and the men for coming forward.
