PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities have arrested a 43-year-old man with more than 30 pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle near Gila Bend.
The Maricopa County Sherriff's Office found the meth while on a routine traffic stop Friday.
Sheriffs stopped Jesus Nunez-Lopez for speeding when a canine unit caught wind of narcotics inside the vehicle. Authorities found 30 packages filled with the meth underneath cushions in the car's back seat.
Sheriffs estimate the 31.2 pounds of methamphetamine has a street value of more than $500,000.
