GASTON COUNTY, NC (WJZY) - Gaston County Police have released audio from the 911 call made the day 3-year-old Jordyn Ann Dumont disappeared.
The caller, whose identity has been redacted from the audio, identifies himself as the girl's father and tells the 911 dispatcher that he was sleeping and that when he woke up his daughter was gone.
"My oldest daughter, I was taking a nap and I just woke up and I can't find her. I went to the neighbors and they're not home and I don't know where she's at," the caller says.
The dispatcher then instructs the caller to search under the beds of the home in an effort to locate the child.
After failing to find the child in the home, the caller becomes very emotional.
"My wife's at work and about to be home and I don't know where my daughter is," the caller explains to the dispatcher.
The caller then describes to the dispatcher what his daughter was wearing before she disappeared. He then tells the dispatcher that he is going to check the neighbors, but is instructed to stay on the phone and that help is on the way.
The entire call lasts about six minutes.
