ASU professor Lawrence Krauss placed on leave, following allegations of misconduct

Officials with Arizona State University announced Tuesday that renowned physicist and ASU professor Lawrence Krauss has now been placed on paid leave.

According to a statement, ASU officials said the decision was made, in an effort to "avoid further disruption to the normal course of business as the university continues to gather facts about the allegations". In addition, officials said Krauss is banned from being on campus, as the university reviews allegations of inappropriate behavior against Krauss.

According to ASU, the review began before an article detailing allegations of sexual misconduct was published by Buzzfeed on February 22. ASU officials said the review was initiated, after Buzzfeed contacted ASU about several of the allegations.

Meanwhile, ASU is encouraging anyone with concerns about interactions with faculty, staff or students to report the concerns.
