As Tempe Town Lake drains where do the fish go?
TEMPE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - In a couple of weeks Tempe Town Lake is expected to be dry, as all the water is drained out of the lake to install a new dam.
So what will happen to the tens of thousands of fish that call the lake home?
The new dam is almost finished, the next step will be to release all the water to remove the old dam.
There are thousands of fish in Tempe Town Lake, a lot of them are going with the flow, being drained along with the water into the Salt River Canal System.
But some are being fished out and relocated, then returned back to the lake.
FOX 10's Nicole Garcia spoke with the City of Tempe, and has this report.
