PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona National Guard has reprimanded the pilot and crew of a helicopter that dropped candy over a Halloween party at a suburban Phoenix home.
Guard spokesman Capt. Matt Murphy said Wednesday that the pilot of the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter who hovered over the Arcadia neighborhood on Oct. 28 received a letter of reprimand and had to undergo retraining. A co-pilot and the helicopter crew chief also received reprimands and underwent re-training.
Murphy says the crew violated Guard policy by using the helicopter for a personal reason while on the way to a training mission.
Video of the Blackhawk flying low over the party was broadcast by KSAZ-TV.
The crew was suspended from flight operations, but Murphy said he believes they're again flying.
The names of the crew weren't released.
