PASADENA, CA (FOX 11/CNS) - The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA received an unexpected hefty donation today, and officials at the animal-rescue agency have no idea where it came from.
Somebody walked into the society's Neely Cat Center and dropped $8,000 into a collection box. The donation came in the form of a pile of crisp-looking $20 bills.
According to the Humane Society, the donation was made completely anonymously. There was no accompanying note or any other identifying information.
"This $8,000 donation is going to go a long way to provide help, food and shelter for the critters that we have in our care," Humane Society spokeswoman Jamie Holeman told the Pasadena Star News.
