Here's a look at the latest police investigations, fires, crashes and other incidents that are happening around the Valley for Sept. 4-10.

  • Baby dies after being pulled from a bathtub in Phoenix, PD says
  • South Mountain, Phoenix - A hiker needed to be rescued from a hiking trail. Before rescue crews got there, they learned a group of people were able to help her.
  • 35th Avenue and McDowell, Phoenix - Firefighters put out a fire at a commercial business at around 3:30 a.m. Officials say they saw smoke coming from the back of the building with sparking power lines in a nearby alleyway. No one was in the building, and SRP was called to address the power lines.

  • Woman found dead at west Phoenix shopping center
  • I-17 offramp at Indian School Road, Phoenix - Exit closed due to what ADOT officials described as a "medical incident."
  • Near Elliot Road and Kyrene Road, Tempe - Crews from Tempe Fire Medical Rescue, Guadalupe Fire, Chandler Fire and Phoenix Fire responded to a HAZMAT situation at a business called AZ Lithium. A semi-truck was found with one of its lithium-ion batteries on fire. Fire was contained to the truck, and no injuries were reported.
  • South Mountain, Phoenix - An injured hiker and her dog were rescued off of South Mountain on Monday. Crews from Phoenix, Tempe and Chandler were called to help. "The dog, who quickly became overheated and was carried down trail by a bystander and fire crews at the bottom provided water and shade for the dog," fire officials said.
  • 24th and Roosevelt streets, Phoenix: Phoenix Fire said a single-story three-unit apartment building caught fire. Luckily, the homes were vacant. No one was hurt.
