Here's a look at the latest police investigations, fires, crashes and other incidents that are happening around the Valley for Oct. 30 - Nov. 5.

November 5

  • El Mirage and Indian Springs roads, Avondale - First responders are searching for a person they got a report of being in distress in or near the Gila River in Avondale Sunday night.
  • Loop 101 and Indian School Road, Phoenix - Phoenix Fire says 5 adults and a child were rushed to the hospital after a crash. They're in critical condition, the department says. There's no word on what caused the crash.
  • Northern and 35th avenues, Phoenix - 2 minors were hurt in a shooting but are expected to be OK, police say.
  • 19th Avenue and Indian School Road, Phoenix - Phoenix Police say three men and a teen were shot early in the morning on Nov. 5. They all have non-life-threatening injuries. Police believe the shooting happened during a "large gathering."
  • 19th and Dunlap avenues, Phoenix - "Crews were dispatched to the reported address at 1:05 PM and arrived to find 2 people under the influence of an unknown substance. Paramedics began treatment of both patients but 1 was found to be beyond resuscitative efforts. The other was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The Phoenix Police Department is now investigating the scene," Phoenix Fire said

November 4

  • McDowell Road and 83rd Avenue, Phoenix - A man was killed after police say he crashed his car into a tree, A child was in the car but is OK. What led up to the crash hasn't been determined.
  • Scottsdale and Thomas roads, Scottsdale - Scottsdale Police say a person walked to the front of "Lo Lo’s Chicken and Waffles restaurant with a gunshot wound" on Saturday afternoon.
  • McQueen and Riggs Road, Chandler - "This appears to be a three vehicle accident. Two people were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries," Chandler PD said.
  • University Drive and Dorsey Lane, Tempe - "Preliminary investigation determined that while the pedestrian was unloading a vehicle the driver of the vehicle that was directly behind them mistook the gas for the brake backing into them pinning them between both vehicles. Medical aid was rendered and the pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries," Tempe PD said.
  • 43rd Avenue and Northern Avenue, Phoenix - A driver crashed into a Phoenix home. The driver was not injured. A person inside the home was treated as a precaution. It's not known what caused the crash.
  • 35th Avenue and Southern Avenue, Phoenix - A vacant mobile home caught fire. No one was injured and the cause hasn't been determined.
  • 35th Avenue and Glendale Avenue, Phoenix - Phoenix Fire crews responded to reports of a fire. This is where the found 2 homes on fire. Two people are displaced and a cause is under investigation,

November 3

  • 99th Avenue and Northern Avenue, Peoria - A motorcyclist was killed after police say a truck turned in front of the motorcyclist, causing the crash. The person who died is Aaron Allen, 44, from Peoria. No citations were issued.
  • Near Guadalupe and Lindsey Roads, Gilbert - Gilbert Police officials say crews responded to Freestone Park for an incident involving the topping over of a miniature train. An adult and a juvenile were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
  • 12th and Pierce Streets, Phoenix - A man has been hospitalized after being burned in a house fire in Phoenix.
  • 27th Avenue and Osborn Road, Phoenix - An exterior fire spread to the office space of a mattress store. No injuries were reported.
  • 18th Street and McDowell Road, Phoenix - A man was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle. The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect driver fled the scene.
  • 35th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road, Phoenix - A man died at the hospital following a crash between two cars.

November 2

  • 27th Avenue and Madison Street, Phoenix - A man was found with a stab wound in the area by officers. The man was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, according to police, and two men were detained nearby.
  • Chandler Boulevard and Rural Road, Chandler - Four people complained of nausea related to fumes produced by epoxy flooring at the Chandler Intel Campus. All four people refused hospital transport.
  • Sossaman and Baseline roads, Mesa - One person was treated for smoke inhalation from a mobile home fire.
  • Interstate 10 and 35th Avenue, Phoenix - DPS is investigating a collision involving a commercial vehicle.

November 1

  • Interstate 17 and 7th Street, Phoenix - Police arrested a man who investigators say drove to a Phoenix business from Tucson and tried to shoot his co-worker.
  • 35th Drive and Sweetwater Avenue, Phoenix - Officers responded to reports of an unresponsive man inside a car. First responders arrived and declared the man dead. His cause of death is under investigation.
  • 16th Street and Osborn Road, Phoenix - A man and woman were found dead inside an apartment. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death for the man and woman.
  • 64th Street and Lafayette Boulevard, Scottsdale - Firefighters are on the scene of a body recovery from a tree in a Scottsdale neighborhood.
  • Near Loop 101 and 35th Avenue, Phoenix - DPS officials say a multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle happened in the area.
  • 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird, Phoenix - A house fire in the area left two people displaced from their homes, according to officials.
  • Near 28th Avenue and Thunderbird Road, Phoenix - A crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian happened in the area. The pedestrian died as a result of the crash, according to Phoenix Police officials.
  • 16th Street and Broadway Road, Phoenix - A woman was arrested after police say she ran from the scene of a deadly shooting with a gun in hand.

October 31

  • 75th Avenue and Indian School Road, Phoenix - Phoenix Police officials say officers were called to the area for a shooting. The victim, identified as a 23-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
  • Loop 202 and Lower Buckeye Road, Phoenix - Phoenix Police say a man accidently had his leg run over by a truck after a gear was shifted. He was taken to the hospital where he has non-life-threatening injuries.
  • 18th and Raymond Streets, Phoenix - A man suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot. A possible suspect was detained at a nearby mobile home.
  • Heatherbrae Drive and 74th Avenue, Phoenix - A woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a shooting at a home. No suspect information was released.
  • Chandler Boulevard and Dobson Road, Chandler - Police officials say a crash involving two vehicles happened in the area. While no one had to be taken to the hospital, the roadway was closed for some time because one of the vehicles involved in the crash had rolled over.
  • Near Brown and Loop 202, Mesa - Police officials say crews recovered a person's body from a canal in the area.
  • I-10 West at Milepost 167, near Riggs Road - DPS officials said two crashes happened in the area. The first crash involved a black pickup truck, a red Jeep, and a third vehicle. The second crash happened when officials say a commercial truck "failed to slow down or stop for a collision investigation, and plowed through the initial collision scene." Minor to moderate injuries were reported, and troopers are searching for the truck.
  • Near 7th Avenue and Buckeye Road, Phoenix - Police officials said a man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a pedestrian crash.

October 30

  • Camelback Road and I-17, Phoenix - Crash was blocking some northbound lanes near the off-ramp.
  • Komatke and Sandia Roads, Buckeye Valley - Crews have contained a three-acre fire that burned on a mountain. No structures were threatened in the fire. No injuries were reported.
  • 48th Street and McDowell Road - A man was found shot in the area, according to police. The man died after he was taken to the hospital.
