Alerts in your neighborhood: Latest police, fire incidents around the Valley (Nov. 6-12)

Here's a look at the latest police investigations, fires, crashes and other incidents that are happening around the Valley for Nov. 6-12.

This will be updated as police and fire departments release information about their investigations throughout the week.

November 12

  • 55th Avenue and Camelback Road, Phoenix - Carlos Vences, 23, was killed in an early morning shooting. Phoenix Police say the incident happened at a house party with hundreds of people.
  • I-10 and 43rd Avenue, Phoenix - DPS says a solo car crash killed one person early in the morning on Nov. 12. No more information is available.

November 11

  • 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road, Peoria - A head-on crash killed a driver in Peoria just before midnight. That person is 58-year-old Manh Thach from Glendale, Arizona. The other driver was sent to the hospital with serious injuries. No arrests have been made.
  • 35th and Dunlap avenues, Phoenix - Phoenix Police officers responded to reports of a shooting at Cortez Park. When they got there, they found a person who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Several people were seen running from the scene, witnesses say, but one person was detained. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Ray Road and Loop 101, Chandler - A child is dead and a man has serious injuries after being hit by a car in Chandler on Saturday, Nov. 11.
  • 79th and Peoria avenues, Peoria - Peoria Police officers responded to a shooting at a home in the area. When they got there, they found a dead man inside who had been shot. A woman was found with life-threatening injuries and she died at the hospital. Police don't know what happened yet and are working to learn more. No arrests have been made.
  • Piestewa Peak, Phoenix - Phoenix Firefighters rescued a man off the hiking trial about a half mile up the mountain. The man is doing OK.

November 10

  • Interstate 17 and Cactus Road, Phoenix - Firefighters extinguished a fire at a pool house. No injuries were reported.
  • Loop 101 and McDowell Road, Phoenix - An investigation is underway after a truck slammed into a light pole.
  • 27th Avenue and Deer Valley Road, Phoenix - A man died following a crash between two vehicles. He was not identified. A woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash is under investigation.
  • Grand and Glendale avenues, Glendale - A male motorcyclist died following a crash involving a vehicle. Police say impairment is not believed to be a factor.

November 9

  • Interstate 17 and Jomax Road, Phoenix - Daisy Mountain Fire says a man was found in a six-foot-deep trench -- the hole was reportedly at a 45-degree angle, so crews had to crawl inside to get the man out. It's unknown how the man got into the hole.
  • Grand Avenue and Myrtle, Glendale - Police say a deadly collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle happened in the area, prompting road closures. The motorcyclist, 28-year-old Leodany Hernandez Reyes, was pronounced dead at the scene. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
  • Central Avenue and Las Ramadas Drive, Phoenix - Phoenix Police officials said four people were in a car that likely lost control due to speed, and rolled over. One of the four, 65-year-old Randy Stover, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other three suffered serious injuries.
  • Near 35th Avenue and the Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway, Phoenix - A woman is dead following a house fire in the area, according to fire officials.
  • Tatum Boulevard and Bell Road, Phoenix - A motorcyclist was hit by a car before crashing into a tree. The motorcyclist was rushed to a hospital where he later died. He was identified as 30-year-old Gavin Green. Police say the driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
  • 12th Street and Buckeye Road, Phoenix - A fire that broke out in a travel trailer spread to a nearby vacant home. Crews arrived at the scene and found heavy smoke and flames. No injuries were reported.

November 8

  • Central Avenue and Camelback Road, Phoenix - An electrical fire was found in a midrise apartment complex in uptown Phoenix. "No injuries were reported and two people will be temporarily displaced while firefighters blow smoke from their apartment unit," Phoenix Fire said.
  • 10th Avenue and Vogel Avenue, Phoenix - Phoenix Police officers responded to reports of a stolen car in the area. While on their way to respond, they got info that when the suspect drove away with the car, the victim fired their gun. Officers found the car crashed into a wall blocks away. The people inside the stolen car were arrested and neither were injured in the shooting. The driver was booked into the juvenile corrections center.
  • 51st Avenue and Thomas Road, Phoenix - No one was hurt when a fire broke out in the attic of a west Phoenix home.
  • 35th Avenue and Camelback Road, Phoenix - Police are looking for the driver in connection to a hit-and-run crash in Phoenix that left a pedestrian seriously injured.
  • 15th and Southern Avenues, Phoenix - One person was shot in the leg, police said. It's unknown if a suspect is in custody.
  • 67th and Olive Avenues, Glendale - Police say an SUV driver ran a red light and hit another vehicle, which then collided with a third car. A woman was taken to a hospital as a precaution. Impairment is not suspected in the crash.

  • 7th and Apache streets, Phoenix - Phoenix Police are investigating a multi-car crash. One driver has life-threatening injuries and another was transported for precautionary reasons.
  • I-17 and Cactus Road, Phoenix - A crash slowed traffic on I-17 northbound near Cactus Road, ADOT says.
  • 144th and Edgemont Avenues, Goodyear - Minor injuries were reported following a crash between a trash truck and an SUV.
  • Lindsay Road and Main Street, Mesa - A firetruck was involved in a minor collision with a car. No injuries were reported.
  • 7th and Oak Streets, Phoenix - No one was hurt when a travel trailer was found burning up against the back of a commercial business.
