Here's a look at the latest police investigations, fires, crashes and other incidents that are happening around the Valley for July 24-30.

This will be updated as police and fire departments release information about their investigations throughout the week.

July 30

  • Lower Buckeye Road and 200th Avenue, Maricopa County - "A two vehicle accident requiring extrication near 200th Ave & Lower Buckeye Rd. sent three people to the hospital, two with critical injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation by @mcsoaz," the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority said.
  • Lake Pleasant, Peoria - "An adult male was paddle boarded across the lake to the Castle creek area and cliff jumped into the lake. He was having difficulty staying afloat and was rescued by bystanders. He was transported to the hospital for his injuries," MCSO says.

  • Lindsay Road and Warner, Gilbert - Firefighters extinguished a structure fire. No injuries.

July 29

  • 7th Avenue and Bell Road, Phoenix - A Phoenix officer was hospitalized as a precaution after being involved in a car crash at around 9:45 p.m. The other driver involved has been processed for DUI.
  • Center Street and Broadway Road, Mesa - Nine people were taken to the hospital in a 2-car crash. Everyone is in stable condition.
  • Cave Creek Road and Grovers Avenue, Phoenix - A man is in critical condition after being shot at around 10:20 p.m. No other details were released.

  • I-10 and 411th Avenue, Tonopah - "Car rolled across the median on I-10 & 411th Ave before coming to a stop on the East bound side. The single occupant was transported in critical condition to a local trauma center. No other injuries were reported. Distractions and speed don’t mix. Stay safe," Arizona Fire and Medical Authority said on July 29.
  • Hayden and Thomas roads, Scottsdale - Scottsdale Police say a man in his 30s was found dead inside his home. He reportedly didn't have any signs of trauma.

  • Miller Road and Kimsey Lane, Scottsdale - Firefighters battled a first-alarm house fire sometime before 4 a.m. No injuries reported.
  • I-10 and 16th Street, Phoenix - A car was shot at during a road rage incident before 4:30 a.m. No injuries reported.
  • 43rd Avenue and Medlock Drive, Phoenix - Police were responding to a domestic violence call at a home in the area at around 3:15 a.m. when a dog attacked an officer.

  • Echo Canyon Trail, Phoenix - A hiker is rescued from Camelback Mountain. Phoenix Fire says a woman in her 30s was coming down Echo Canyon Trail when she started to get dizzy. Firefighters safely got her to the base of the mountain and she was taken to the hospital.

  • Impairment suspected in Scottsdale crash that seriously hurt 3 people, police say
  • 111th and Missouri avenues - "Initial information is that there was an argument between two subjects resulting in one of them being shot. He was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The other individual fled the scene and is still outstanding," said Sgt. Calbert Gillett.
  • 72nd Avenue and McDowell, Phoenix - A 21-year-old man was shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Two men were detained and interviewed. It's unknown if they will face any charges.
  • 25th and Corva drives, Phoenix - When Phoenix Police officers responded to a domestic violence call at a home, they heard a gunshot from the rear of the residence. "Officers set a perimeter around the area and a woman inside the home came out to officers with her children. During the search, a man was detained, and a firearm was located. There were no reported injuries or property damage," said Sgt. Phil Krynsky.
  • 43rd and Whitton avenues, Phoenix - "A man was found suffering a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The suspect remains outstanding. Details about what led up to the shooting remain part of the ongoing investigation," said Krynsky.
  • 11th Street and Roeser Road, Phoenix - Phoenix firefighters were called to the area for reports of a garage fire. When they arrived at the scene, crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames. "It was determined there was no extension to the structure and the initial arriving crews could handle the situation. The remaining units were then recalled back to service and no injuries reported at the scene," stated Capt. Kimberly Quick-Ragsdale.
  • 20th Street and Grovers Avenue, Phoenix - Crews arrived at the scene of a mobile home fire and found a large volume of black smoke and flames in the rear of the building. "While inside the structure crews searched the interior and determined it was clear of any victims. Due to the fast actions of fire crews, the fire was quickly stopped from spreading to the attic space or nearby mobile homes," said Quick-Ragsdale. Four residents were displaced and the Community Assistance Program will assist the homeowners. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

July 24

  • Calle Guadalupe & Avenida del Yaqui, Guadalupe - The shooting, according to a brief statement by MCSO, happened at a neighborhood near the intersection of Guadalupe Road (known as Calle Guadalupe in Guadalupe) and Priest Drive (known as Avenida del Yaqui in Guadalupe). A woman died.
  • 39th Avenue and Greenway Road, Phoenix - The Phoenix Fire Dept. says two mobile homes went up in flames. When they got to the scene around 4 p.m., they saw heavy smoke and flames. No one was hurt.
  • 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, Phoenix - Phoenix firefighters responded to reports of a fire behind a building. When they arrived at the scene, Capt. Scott Douglas says crews found a large alley fire pushing black smoke and flames near the strip mall. "After making entry into the building and an aggressive firefight in the alley, it was determined fire impingement on the structure was minimal and the initial arriving crews could handle the situation. The remaining responding units were then recalled back to service and no injuries reported at the scene."
  • 91st and Southern avenues, Phoenix - Phoenix firefighters were called to the area for an alarm sounding at a water treatment facility. "Crews evacuated the area, isolated the building and denied entry.  HAZMAT teams monitored the area and found zero readings inside. Minimal readings were noted outside. These readings were believed to be from a normal process of a "burp" in the system," said Capt. Kimberly Quick-Ragsdale.
  • 27th Avenue and Indian School Road, Phoenix - Crews were called to the scene of a mobile home fire. "Simultaneously firefighters searched the home and determined it to be clear of any occupants. A small shed near the mobile home was also involved," said Quick-Ragsdale. Four people were displaced and investigators are working to determine a cause for the fire.
