SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- A 72-year-old Scottsdale man is accused of beating his wife to death with a hammer, and FOX 10 has learned that the man, Jozef Miller, admitted to killing his wife in a 911 call.
"I killed my wife, okay?" Miller was heard saying in the 911 call. "I killed my wife, okay?"
"You killed your wife?" asked the 911 dispatcher.
"Yes," Miller replied. That was just the beginning of a 911 call that had a Scottsdale dispatcher scrambling.
"Do we need the paramedics over there to see if you're okay?" asked the dispatcher.
"I'm okay, don't worry," Miller replied. He said he beat his wife to death using a hammer. The incident reportedly happened inside their home near 76th Street and Lone Mountain Road. Scottsdale authorities kept Miller talking on the phone for two minutes, as he gave critical information on what happened.
"When did you kill her? How long ago?" asked the dispatcher.
"Around, 2. Maybe 2 o'clock," said Miller.
"Yeah, and so was there anyone else at the house when you did it?" asked the dispatcher.
"No. Only myself and my wife, okay? Bye. Okay? I shut off the phone," said Miller.
Scottsdale Police immediately arrested Miller for the murder. He didn't have any doubt that first responders wouldn't be able to save her when they arrived.
"My wife is dead, okay?" said Miller.
