3 people injured in crash involving Phoenix police SUV

Three people were injured in a collision involving two vehicles and pedestrians in downtown Phoenix on Thursday.

The Phoenix Police Department says the collision happened at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Jefferson. As a result of the collision, the intersection is closed.

Two vehicles, including a Phoenix police SUV, and two pedestrians were involved in the crash.

The driver of a pickup truck and the pedestrians were transported to a hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

The police officer involved in the crash was not transported to a hospital.
