2 motorcycle chases on Phoenix area highways end in arrests

Sunday saw two high-speed chases across the Valley involving motorcyclists.

The first started in south Phoenix on the afternoon of Dec. 22.

ADOT cameras captured the rider passing cars on I-10, stretching to the west Valley.

DPS says that the unidentified suspect was caught, but didn't say what prompted the chase in the first place.

The second chase ended on Sunday night. Troopers say the rider reached 120 mph.

The driver was weaving through construction zones on Loop 101.

The rider finally surrendered on Val Vista Drive in Mesa.

DPS hasn't named the suspect, and it's unknown what sparked this chase.
