2 arrested in connection to woman's kidnapping
PHOENIX (FOX 10) - Phoenix police say two men have been arrested in connection to the kidnapping of a woman.
According to police, officers responded to reports of a man forcing a woman into a vehicle near Interstate 17 and Camelback Road at 2 a.m.
A police air unit later located the suspect's vehicle on southbound I-17. The vehicle failed to stop for police and it was tracked to the area near the Loop 202 and Dobson Road where officers used a mechanical device to stop it.
Two men inside the vehicle ran from it and to a nearby parking lot where they were arrested by officers.
During their investigation, police learned the kidnapping was related to criminal activity between the suspects and a relative of the victim, and the suspects tried to extort the victim.
Police say the woman is safe.
