SURPRISE: Families in need receive gift cards to Walmart

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - 50 children in need, along with their families, were up for a surprise at the Alhambra Family Resource Center Friday morning. They were called in for an information session, and what they got instead was a big surprise.

Instead of an information session, each child received a gift, and families got $20 gift cards to Walmart.

One Walmart manager at the event said it was priceless to see the look on the kids face as they got their gifts.

The surprises, however, did not stop there, as the retail giant donated $10,000 to the Alhambra family. Those at the Alhambra say they appreciate being valued as an important part of the community.
