Phoenix Police: Woman arrested, accused of disposing newborn at Amazon fulfillment center bathroom
PHOENIX (FOX 10/AP) -- Police say a woman has been arrested on suspicion of unlawful disposal of human remains after her newborn baby was found dead inside an Amazon distribution center in southwest Phoenix last week.
They say 22-year-old Samantha Vivier was booked into the 4th Avenue Jail on Tuesday on a count of alleged Unlawful Disposal of Human Remains. It wasn't immediately clear if Vivier had a lawyer who could speak on her behalf.
Police say the body of a baby girl was discovered on January 16 just after 8:30 p.m. inside a women's restroom in the secured Amazon facility.
They say the baby was full-term or near full-term and the Maricopa County medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
